MCC and Maine EPSCoR "SENCER-izing YOUR Curriculum" Field Trip: May 23, 2014

Faculty and high school educators are invited to participate in a field trip in Woolwich and Bath, ME that will demonstrate how to develop a hands-on, field-based experience involving college and high school students. Participants will work with faculty and students from the University of Maine, Machias, who will engage Woolwich Central School 7th graders on the tidal flats to examine the interactive role of tidal height and predation on the growth and survival of soft shell clams. This will be a great chance to learn about the logic and logistics involved with setting up this kind of field experience. There is no cost for this field trip, but registration is limited; please visit Travel scholarships are available to STEM faculty.
