Engaged Department Initiative
The Engaged Department Initiative seeks to:
- provide a focused opportunity to integrate civic engagement into departmental work, including enhanced coherence in the major/program,
- enable departments to prepare less experienced faculty in the pedagogies of civic engagement,
- give resources (time, money, and expertise) to implement departmental change efforts as well as faculty reward system,
- and provide networked support throughout this work
