Key Resources, Information, and Links

Raise Your Voice Campaign
From 2002-2005, Maine participated in a national campaign encouraging college students to raise their voices and be heard! This campaign was called Raise Your Voice and their webpage is www.actionforchange.org. The website contains resources on how to facilitate a dialogue, map your campus and community, contact your legislators, just to name a few. Check it out!

Maine Task Force on Citizenship Education
This Task Force has been charged to help make civic learning and education a priority in Maine schools and communities. Interested in getting involved and helping out? Contact Tamara. Have no clue what I'm talking about?? www.mecitizenshiped.org has some amazing links and resources (check out the “for youth” section”), as well as a pretty good explanation of the task force and citizenship education in general.

MCC Student Email List
If you would like weekly updates on how you can get involved in your community, get a job in public service, or get trained in a whole host of areas, contact Tamara and ask to be added to the MCC Student Email List. And, if you have an event you'd like publicized to the greater Maine college community, just ask. This email list is a great way to do it!

Soon to come:
